Chief Executive Officer: Clive Blechman

Clive has been involved in the motor industry for more than 22 years and his expertise in the industry is widely hailed throughout the vast network he operates within. Clive’s extensive Customer Service experience and passion for excellent Service Delivery in general has made him highly respected within the many Fleet Communities. Clive exudes passion and has a reputation in the industry for integrity, loyalty, excellence of service, and astuteness.

Chief Financial Officer: Allan Govender

Allan joined us from Barloworld Motors after a career spanning 32 years with them and brings along a wealth of knowledge in all facets of the business. During his tenure at Barloworld he also served their Motor Division in the USA and returned to South Africa in 2008. He has already embarked on the objective of ensuring that the Group operates effectively and complies with Good Corporate Governance practices. We look forward to his valued contribution in growing the Eastvaal Motor Group.

Chief Operational Officer: Jaco Taljaard

Jaco has been the Chief Operating Officer of the Eastvaal Motor Group for the last 4 years, and has been involved in the motor industry for more than 15 years. The majority of his working career was spent with General Motors South Africa (GMSA), previously known as Delta Motor Corporation. He has been the General Manager of various subsidiaries which manufactured parts for export . He spent his last 3 years at GMSA as the Regional Sales and Marketing Manager of the Northern region.

Non-Executive Director:

Chairman: Keshan Pillay

Keshan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Makalani Holdings Limited. He was previously an executive director of the Mineworkers Investment Company (MIC) responsible for the group's finance and investment strategy. Keshan also serves as an independent non executive director on the boards of Peermont Global Holdings, Primedia Holdings, Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) and Tracker Investment Holdings.

Other Directors:

David Bloch

David is an attorney by profession and represents Macsteel on the Eastvaal board. He is the Group Commercial & Legal Director at Macsteel. David was involved in the merchant and investment banking world for 14 years before joining the Macsteel group. He has served on the boards of several listed and unlisted companies.

Hannes van der Walt

Hannes is a chartered accountant and is currently the Group Chief Financial Officer of Macsteel Service Centres SA. He has been with the Macsteel group for the last 23 years. He has served in various capacities within the Macsteel group including Managing Director of Macsteel Interior Systems and Macsteel Tube and Pipe.

Mary Bomela

Mary is the Executive Director: Strategy of the Mineworker’s Investment Company (MIC). She is a trustee of the Hospice Association of Witwatersrand and Non-Executive Director of Rand Mutual, Metrofile, Setpoint, Masana and Tracker.

Oren Fuchs

Oren currently heads up the marketing and corporate social investment portfolio at the Mineworker’s Investment Company, as well as representing MIC on a number of investee boards, trusts and foundations including Eastvaal Motors, Izazi Solutions, Westcon South Africa, Primedia Foundation and the FirstRand Empowerment Foundation.
